The Youth Ministry Program at La Salle is a sign of La Salle’s commitment to the best in Catholic education. We are very proud of our program, which is often used as a model for other schools.
Motivation
The religious activities program seeks to present as many ways as possible for the student to experience the lived faith of our Catholic community. Our program offers moments of private and community prayer, small group experiences, and large group celebrations. Above all, the community of La Salle High School seeks to offer the student the faith and tradition that has supported and nourished our church and people for ages.

Masses and Liturgies
Extremely important aspects of the educational method of Don Bosco were prayer and sacraments. Therefore, we seek to provide frequent opportunities for the students to meet Jesus and to celebrate the sacraments. Each day the Liturgy of the Eucharist is offered in our school chapel. Frequently there is a liturgical celebration either in the form of a small group, a large group Mass for the entire school, or some type of scripture service. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also made available to all of the students on a regular basis. Every student is always free to approach any of the priests on staff at any time. There are also times set aside for Penance services, when priests are available for confession.

Liturgical Ministries
Selected students seek to make our school-wide Masses and Prayer Services meaningful religious experiences for the La Salle Family. Freshmen have the welcoming ministry of hospitality, service as ushers and sacristans; sophomores minister as altar servers; juniors are commissioned as lectors; seniors are commissioned as Eucharistic ministers to assist the priest in distributing Communion.
